When the bore jests, you see an elephant
When burdened I see an elephant,
Playing with a rhinoceros in a narrow passage.
Frolicking with a cricket in a strait,
يخفّفlightens روحهhis spirit فبزيدso he increases (apparently intended) ثقلاin heaviness
يخفّف روحه فبزيد ثقلا
ويصغرand seems small عندهbeside him جبلMount الشقيقal-Shaqiq
ويصغر عنده جبل الشقيق
He lightens his spirit, only to grow heavier,
It lightens its spirit and grows weightier still,
And beside him Mount al-Shaqiq seems small.
While Mount Shaqq dwindles smaller in its sight.
