منعونا من جنى النخ

ل ومطبوخ الدنان

ل ومطبوخ الدنان

They denied us the fruit of the palm-

They forbade us from picking fruit

trees, and the boiled wine of the jars.

And cooked wheat

فتركناها عليهم

فتركناها عليهم

وفطنّا للرّجاني

وفطنّا للرّجاني

So we left it to them,

So we left it to them

And we took notice of al-Rajani.

And were alert to possibilities
