Love has worn him down, so long has it endured.

So the naive one, through ignorance, made his blood lawful to shed.

He concealed his love to keep it hidden, yet there emerged

Through longing’s moans what he had concealed.

The wretched man fell in love, hoping for relief.

After affliction, he began to lament his pain.

So when, while love passes unjust judgments,

Will the wronged be granted justice against the one who wronged him?
