كرت عليّ صروف الدهر كالحلة
حتىuntil عدمتI lost بهاthrough them حاليmy well-being وإقباليand my good fortune
حتى عدمت بها حالي وإقبالي
The vicissitudes of time assailed me like a robe,
The turns of fate turned against me like a robe
until through them I lost my well-being and good fortune.
Until through them my state and fortune were undone
