أتلزمنيdo you charge me with الذنبguilt منwith غيرno ذنبwrongdoing
وأنتand you بلومكby your reproach ليَof me مذنبguilty
Do you charge me with guilt when I have done no wrong?
You accuse me of guilt though I'm innocent,
And you, in reproaching me, are guilty.
And blame me while being at fault yourself.
ووجهكand your face ليat me ضاحكsmiling فيat اللقاthe meeting
ولكنand yet لسانكyour tongue ليto me عقربa scorpion
And your face smiles at me when we meet,
Your face smiles at me during our encounter,
but your tongue is a scorpion to me.
Yet your tongue stings like a scorpion.

You creep toward me with harmful guile,
You come to me with evil cunning,
and the fang and the claw sting me.
Striking with fang and claw.
فإبليسso Iblis منكthan you علىdespite خبثهhis wickedness
أبرّkinder وأوفىand more loyal لمَنto whoever يصحَبُhe befriends
So Iblis, despite his wickedness, is—compared with you—
Compared to your malice,
kinder and more loyal to those he befriends.
Iblis is more upright with his companions.
