خطأ الطيب إصابة الأجل
Do not let disappointed hope leave you desolate.
Do not let failure of hope sadden you,
The good man's error is death hitting its mark.
The mistake of the good is the fate of life.

سببٌ يدقّ على ذوي الحيل
For every thing missed and every thing attained
For everything lost there is something gained,

Were it not for bitterness on the palate, never
If not for the bitterness in taste,
would the palate know the sweetness of honey.
Taste would not know the sweetness of honey.
