لأنظر في أيامه وشهوره
And I delight in the calendar the day I buy it,
to look through its days and months.
وليand for me فيin حشاthe heart of التقويمthe calendar يومa day وإنand though خفىis hidden
ولي في حشا التقويم يوم وإن خفى
عليّfrom me مكانُthe place of اليومthe day بينamong سطورهits lines
عليّ مكانُ اليوم بين سطوره
And in the calendar's heart lies a day for me, though hidden
from me is that day's place among its lines.
