وأفضل صبر ما ثنى عن خزاية

وأفضل صبر ما ثنى عن خزاية

وعلم حلما والحليم ينيل

وعلم حلما والحليم ينيل

And the best patience is that which turns one away from disgrace,

And the best patience is that which conceals misfortunes

And teaches forbearance; the forbearing person gives.

And teaches forbearance, and the forbearing attains

وفي الصبر فاعلم أنه بعد كونه

وفي الصبر فاعلم أنه بعد كونه

إلى كل خير في الأمور يؤول

إلى كل خير في الأمور يؤول

And as for patience, know that, once it exists,

And in patience know that after its existence

It leads to all that is good in affairs.

It leads to every good in matters
