Proof enough for me that the age has turned upside down is that I

It is enough proof to me of the times' reversal that I

have seen truth bent in bearing,

have seen the worthier one, broken in stature,

while ignorance’s stem stands erect and vigorous,

and ignorance's stem standing upright and vigorous,

and light lies beneath darkness.

and that light lies beneath the darkness.
