I donned gray hair after youth.

I have worn old age after youth

So I became of little worth to the pampered, budding-breasted maiden.

So I became weak after strength

وأعظمُ منهما خطرا وضُرّا

مجالسةُ الثقيل وصوم آب

مجالسةُ الثقيل وصوم آب

And greater than both in peril and harm

And greater than both in danger and harm

Are keeping company with a bore and fasting in August.
