فَدُموعيso my tears لِذاكَbecause of that سَحٌّpouring abundantly سُجومُstreaming
Love's army is stationed in my heart.
The army of love resides in my heart,
So for that my tears pour down in streams.
So my tears flow copiously like rain.
وَكَتَمتُand I concealed الهَوىlove فَقَلَّso diminished اِصطِباريmy patient endurance
وَبَداand emerged مِنfrom ضَميريَmy inner heart المَكتومُwhat was concealed
And I concealed my love, so my patience waned,
I concealed my passion so my patience waned,
and what was concealed emerged from my inner heart.
And my hidden feelings began to show.

How can the lover be patient, seared by long-
How can a lover have patience when tormented by passion?
-ing, while the lover's heart is lovesick and ailing?
A lover's heart is ever sick and feeble.
قَدindeed دَعانيcalled me الهَوىlove فَلَبَّيتُso I answered أَلفاًa thousand times
إِذwhen دَعانيit called me إِلَيكُمُto you (plural) ياO ظَلومُcruel one
Love called me, so I answered a thousand times,
Passion called me and I responded a thousand times,
when it called me to you, O cruel one.
When it summoned me to you, O cruel one.
