إِنَّindeed الأَحِبَّةَthe loved ones آذَنواthey have announced بِرَحيلِof departure
إِنَّ الأَحِبَّةَ آذَنوا بِرَحيلِ
ماnot حُزنُthe sorrow قَلبِكَof your heart بَعدَهُمafter them بِقَليلِat all slight
ما حُزنُ قَلبِكَ بَعدَهُم بِقَليلِ
Indeed, the loved ones have announced their departure.
The loved ones have announced their departure
Your heart's sorrow after they are gone is not slight.
Do not grieve much after them, my heart
يَأتونَthey go to مَكَّةَMecca عامِدينَintent لِحَجِّهِمfor their pilgrimage
يَأتونَ مَكَّةَ عامِدينَ لِحَجِّهِم
وَيُخَلِّفونَكَand they leave you behind مَيِّتاًdead بِغَليلِfrom burning thirst
وَيُخَلِّفونَكَ مَيِّتاً بِغَليلِ
They go to Mecca, intent on their pilgrimage,
They go to Mecca for their pilgrimage
And leave you behind, dead from burning thirst.
And leave you behind, dead in anguish
