إِنَّهم إِن رَأَوا لَدَيكِ رَسولي

إِنَّهم إِن رَأَوا لَدَيكِ رَسولي

حَقَّقوا ما رَأَوا وَكانَ دَليلا

حَقَّقوا ما رَأَوا وَكانَ دَليلا

Indeed, if they see my messenger with you,

If they see that you have a messenger from me

they will take what they see as certain, and it will serve as proof.

They will verify what they saw, and it will be proof

فَاِنظُري مَن رَأَيتِ لِلسِرِّ أَهلاً

فَاِنظُري مَن رَأَيتِ لِلسِرِّ أَهلاً

فَاِجعَليهِ إِلى رَسولي رَسولا

فَاِجعَليهِ إِلى رَسولي رَسولا

So consider whom you deem worthy of the secret,

So look to see who is worthy of the secret

then make him a messenger to my messenger.

And make him a messenger to my messenger

فَإِذا ما تَوَلَيا الأَمرَ عَنّا

فَإِذا ما تَوَلَيا الأَمرَ عَنّا

لَم يَجِد ظَنُّهُم إِلَينا سَبيلا

لَم يَجِد ظَنُّهُم إِلَينا سَبيلا

Then, when the two take charge of the matter on our behalf,

And when they turn the matter away from us

their suspicion will find no path to us.

Their suspicions of us will find no path

ما اِحتَمَلتُ الإِعراضَ وَالصَدَّ حَتّى

ما اِحتَمَلتُ الإِعراضَ وَالصَدَّ حَتّى

قالَ فينا مَن خِفتُهُ أَن يَقولا

قالَ فينا مَن خِفتُهُ أَن يَقولا

I had suffered no turning away or rejection until

I could not bear being shunned and rejected until

the one I feared would speak spoke about us.

Those I feared spoke against us
