سَأُعطيكِ الرِضا وَأَموتُ غَماً

سَأُعطيكِ الرِضا وَأَموتُ غَماً

وَأَسكُتُ لا أَغُمُّكِ بِالعِتابِ

وَأَسكُتُ لا أَغُمُّكِ بِالعِتابِ

I shall give you satisfaction and die of grief,

I will give you contentment and die of sorrow

And remain silent, not distressing you with reproach.

And I will be silent, not troubling you with reproach

رَأَيتُكِ مَرَّةً تَهوَينَ وَصلي

رَأَيتُكِ مَرَّةً تَهوَينَ وَصلي

وَأَنتِ اليَومَ تَهوَينَ اِجتِنابي

وَأَنتِ اليَومَ تَهوَينَ اِجتِنابي

I once saw you desiring union with me,

I saw you once yearning for our reunion

And today you desire to avoid me.

And today you yearn to avoid me

وَغَيَّرَكِ الزَمانُ وَكُلُّ شَيءٍ

وَغَيَّرَكِ الزَمانُ وَكُلُّ شَيءٍ

يَصيرُ إِلى التَغَيُّرِ وَالذَهابِ

يَصيرُ إِلى التَغَيُّرِ وَالذَهابِ

And time has changed you, and everything

Time has changed you and everything

Moves toward change and passing away.

Is subject to change and passing away

فَإِن يَكُنِ الصَوابُ لَدَيكِ قَتلي

فَإِن يَكُنِ الصَوابُ لَدَيكِ قَتلي

فَعَمّاكِ الإِلَهُ عَنِ الصَوابِ

فَعَمّاكِ الإِلَهُ عَنِ الصَوابِ

So if killing me is right in your eyes,

If it is right for you to take my life

Then may God blind you to what is right.

May God forgive you this wrong
