صَحائِفُpages عِنديwith me لِلعِتابِfor reproach طَوَيتُهاI folded them
سَتُنشَرُwill be unfolded يَوماًone day وَالعِتابُand the reproach يَطولُis lengthy
I keep pages of reproach that I have folded away;
The pages in my possession I had folded for censure
They will be unfolded one day, and the reproach will be long.
One day they will unfold though censure drags on
عِتابٌreproach لَعَمريby my life لاno بَنانٌfingertips تَخُطُّهُwrite it
وَلَيسَand not يُؤَدّيهِconveys it إِلَيكِto you رَسولُa messenger
A reproach, by my life, that no fingertips write,
A lifelong censure, no scribe ever inscribed
And no messenger conveys it to you.
No messenger delivers it over to you
سَأَسكُتُI shall remain silent ماas long as لَمnot يَجمَعِbrings together اللَهُGod بَينَناbetween us
فَإِنso if نَلتَقيwe meet يَوماًone day فَسَوفَthen will أَقولُI speak
I shall remain silent until God brings us together;
I'll stay silent unless God unites us again
So if we meet one day, then I shall speak.
If we meet someday, then I will speak my mind
