أَمُدُّ عَيني إِلى الدُنيا وَزَهرَتِها

فَما تَرى العَينُ شَيئاً غَيرَها حَسَنا

I stretch my eyes toward this world and its blossoms

Yet my eyes see nothing as beautiful as you

سِرّي وَسِرُّكِ لَم يَعلَم بِهِ أَحَدٌ

إِلّا الإِلهُ وَإِلّا أَنتِ ثُمَّ أَنا

My secret and your secret, no one knows it

Except God, except you, then me

وَاللَهِ لَو كانَتِ الدُنيا بِأَجمَعِها

في راحَتي لَم أَجِد عِندي لَها ثَمَنا

By God, if the whole world were in my hands

I would not find any price for it with me

وَلَستُ كَاِبنِ عَزيزٍ في مَوَدَّتِهِ

مَن باعَ بِالمُلكِ مَن يَهوى فَقَد غُبِنا

And I'm not like the son of Aziz in his love

Whoever trades who he loves for a kingdom has lost
