ماnot تَعَرَّفتُI have felt لِلهَواجِرِof the noonday heats مَسّاًa touch
ما تَعَرَّفتُ لِلهَواجِرِ مَسّاً
ماwhat بِقَلبيin my heart أَشَدُmore intense مِنهاthan them اِلتِهاباin burning
ما بِقَلبي أَشَدُ مِنها اِلتِهابا
I have felt no touch of the noonday heats;
what is in my heart burns more fiercely than they.
فَأَرانيso I find myself إِذاwhenever تَذَكَّرتُI remember مَنthose whom خَلَّfirst part of 'I left behind'

So I find myself, whenever I remember those I left
behind me, unable to hold back my sobbing.
