قَدindeed بِتَّyou have spent the night أَجفىthe most aloof الناسِof people مُستَيقِظاًawake
قَد بِتَّ أَجفى الناسِ مُستَيقِظاً
وَأَوصَلَand the most affectionate الناسِof people لَناtoward us فيin المَنامdreams
وَأَوصَلَ الناسِ لَنا في المَنام
You have spent the night, awake, the most aloof of people,
And the most affectionate toward us in dreams.
ظَلومُẒalūm ياO مَنthe one who حُبُّهاher love قاتِليkilling me
ظَلومُ يا مَن حُبُّها قاتِلي
وَتارِكيand leaving me أُحدوثَةًa tale told فيamong الأَنامhumankind
وَتارِكي أُحدوثَةً في الأَنام
Ẓalūm, O you whose love is killing me
And leaving me a tale told among humankind.
