هَجَرتُم وَلَم نَقِدر عَلى ما قَدَرتُمُ

هَجَرتُم وَلَم نَقِدر عَلى ما قَدَرتُمُ

عَلَيهِ وَأَنتُم تَرقُدونَ وَنَسهَرُ

عَلَيهِ وَأَنتُم تَرقُدونَ وَنَسهَرُ

You forsook us, and we could not do what you were able

I left you while we could not do as you have done

to do; you sleep, while we stay awake.

As you slept, we stayed awake

أَدومُ بِعَهدي ما حَييتُ وَقَلَّ مَن

أَدومُ بِعَهدي ما حَييتُ وَقَلَّ مَن

يَدومُ عَلى عَهدٍ وَلا يَتَغَيَّرُ

يَدومُ عَلى عَهدٍ وَلا يَتَغَيَّرُ

I remain true to my pledge as long as I live, and few are those

I keep my vow as long as I live, and few

who remain true to a pledge and do not change.
