خَلَطَmingled اللَهُGod بِروحيwith my soul روحَهاher soul
خَلَطَ اللَهُ بِروحي روحَها
فَهُماso the two of them فيin جَسَديmy body شَيءٌa thing أَحَدone
فَهُما في جَسَدي شَيءٌ أَحَد
God mingled her soul with my soul.
God has mingled her soul with mine
So in my body the two are one.
So they are one within my body
فَهوَso it يَحياlives أَبَداًalways ماas long as اِصطَحَباthe two keep company
فَهوَ يَحيا أَبَداً ما اِصطَحَبا
فَإِذاand when ماemphatic particle اِفتَرَقاthe two part ماتَdies الجَسَدthe body
فَإِذا ما اِفتَرَقا ماتَ الجَسَد
So it lives ever on as long as they remain together.
As long as they are together, it lives forever
And when they part, the body dies.
But if they part, the body will die
