أَبلِغ بَني عَوفٍ بِأَنَّ جَنابَهُم

أَبلِغ بَني عَوفٍ بِأَنَّ جَنابَهُم

عَلى كُلِّ آلاءِ الزَمانِ مَريعُ

عَلى كُلِّ آلاءِ الزَمانِ مَريعُ

Tell the sons of ‘Awf that their domain

Tell the clan of Awf that their side

Is lush amid all the blessings of time.

Is, among all the gifts of Time, sublime.

حِبالُ بَني عَوفٍ حِبالٌ مَنيعَةٌ

حِبالُ بَني عَوفٍ حِبالٌ مَنيعَةٌ

حِبالُ العِدى مِن دونِهِنَّ مَنيعُ

حِبالُ العِدى مِن دونِهِنَّ مَنيعُ

The bonds of the sons of ‘Awf are unassailable bonds;

The ropes of Awf's clan are unbreakable ropes -

The foes’ bonds, beneath theirs, are unassailable.

The ropes of foes, compared to theirs, are slight.
