ذَبَبتُ عَن أَعراضِكُم آلَ وائِلٍ

ذَبَبتُ عَن أَعراضِكُم آلَ وائِلٍ

وَناضَلتُ حَتّى لَم أَجِد مَن أُناضِلُه

وَناضَلتُ حَتّى لَم أَجِد مَن أُناضِلُه

I defended your honor, O clan of Wa'il,

I have shunned the ways of all who perished before

and fought until I found no one to fight.

And struggled until I found none left to struggle against
