Today we rule in our valley,

And restore the splendors of our past.

And it builds glory through our hands—

A homeland we redeem, and that redeems us.

A homeland we uphold with justice,

And build beneath the eye of God.

And we improve it and adorn it

With our noble deeds and our endeavors.

    History's secret and its essence,

And time's throne and its pulpit,

And eternity's gardens and its Kawthar,

And our forefathers suffice as fragrant blossoms.

We take the sun as its crown,

And its morning radiance as a blazing throne,

And the sky of eminence as its towers.

    And so were our forebears.

The age and the nations see you,

And Karnak and the pyramid look on.

O sons of the homelands, is there no resolve

To build us as the first builder did?

    Strive forever—strive, strive,

For deep-rooted glory and for the heights.

And let us make Egypt the world itself.

And let us make Egypt the world itself.
