Rami's poetry collection, beneath the hem of youth,
The Diwan of Rami under the Margin of Youth
is sweet, with a throng of reciters gathered around it.
Many narrators swarmed to its sweetness

Yesterday its first rain quenched the thirst of minds;
Yesterday, nay the echo of prohibition and fasting

In every verse, a gathering and wine;
In each verse a gathering and wine
and at every door, a pause and love.
And by each gate a standstill and passion

O Rami, archer who strikes the mark of speech,
O Rami your words hit their mark
yours is a style in simple verse that none can attain.
You have a purpose in the plain, not to be denied

In your aims, reach farther and farther;
Take in your sights distance after distance

For youth, after it are the days

ولتسمون بشعرك الأهرام
As for Zuhayr, Harim indeed rose high through him;
As for Zuhair he made his old age soar
and through your poetry the Pyramids shall surely rise.
And with your poetry you shall make the pyramids soar

So learn genius from him, and rise as he rose;
So take genius as your own and gently lift it
and every full moon has its ascent and fullness.
For each full moon a rising and completeness
