ياO عَزيزاًone dear لَناto us بِمِصرَin Egypt عَلِمناwe have learned
يا عَزيزاً لَنا بِمِصرَ عَلِمنا
أَنَّهُthat he بِالرِضاwith the favor الخِديوِيِّkhedivial فائِزُsuccessful
أَنَّهُ بِالرِضا الخِديوِيِّ فائِزُ
O one dear to us in Egypt, we have learned

رُتبَةًa rank أَلسُنُtongues العُلاglory أَرَّختَهاrecorded its date
رُتبَةً أَلسُنُ العُلا أَرَّختَها
أَنتَyou مَحمودُMahmoud فيin العُلاglory المُتَمايِزِthe distinguished one
أَنتَ مَحمودُ في العُلا المُتَمايِزِ
A rank whose date the tongues of glory recorded:
A rank which the tongues of the eminent have recorded
“You are Mahmoud, distinguished in glory.”
You are praiseworthy among the distinguished elite
