ورغبتُ في مائة فجدتَ بضعفها

So I accepted it, and turned my thoughts at times
So I accepted it and turned my thoughts at times

And I am one who knew kings and abstained from
And I, who knew kings and excused
The favors of their palms and the outpouring of their bounty.
Their graciousness when at ease and the one who poured kindness

And in its essence, its eye, and its nose.
And in its essence, and in its eye, and in its nose
