أَقسَمتُI swore لَوif أَمَرَcommanded الزَمانُTime سَماءَهُits sky
أَقسَمتُ لَو أَمَرَ الزَمانُ سَماءَهُ
فَسَعَتthen hastened لِصَدرِكَto your breast شَمسُهاits sun وَنُجومُهاand its stars
فَسَعَت لِصَدرِكَ شَمسُها وَنُجومُها
I swore: if Time commanded its sky,
I swear if time commanded its sky,
and its sun and stars hastened to your breast,
And its suns and stars made room in their breadth for your heart,
ليُنيلَto grant قَدرَكَyour stature فيamong المَعاليthe heights of glory حَقَّهُits due
ليُنيلَ قَدرَكَ في المَعالي حَقَّهُ
شَكَتِwould lament المَعاليthe heights of glory أَنَّهُthat it مَظلومُهاwronged by them
شَكَتِ المَعالي أَنَّهُ مَظلومُها
to grant your stature its due among the heights of glory,
So your worth could attain in the heights its due,
the heights of glory would lament that it was wronged by them.
The heights would complain that even so it's mistreated.
