My friend loves you with hearts
Their backs are turned to others, but their very core is yours.
That show one face to others, another to you
وترجوand hope أنthat تعيشyou live لهاfor them نفوسsouls
وترجو أن تعيش لها نفوس
إذاif تبقىyou remain لهاfor them يبقىremains النعيمbliss
إذا تبقى لها يبقى النعيم
And souls hope that you will live for them.
And hope to live for the souls
If you remain with them, bliss remains.
That if they remain, bliss remains
عنfrom اللذاتthe pleasures صامتfasted لمdid not تجادلargue
عن اللذات صامت لم تجادل
فإماbut as for عنfrom هواكlove for you فلاthen not تصومfast
فإما عن هواك فلا تصوم
They fasted from pleasures without protest.
Silent about pleasures, you did not argue
But they do not fast from loving you.
So either follow your love, or do not fast
