جِبريلُGabriel الروحُthe Spirit لَناfor us حاديa singing guide
جِبريلُ الروحُ لَنا حادي
We are the Scouts in the valley.
We are the girl guides in the valley
Gabriel, the Spirit, is our guide.

ياO رَبِّLord بِعيسىby Jesus وَالهاديand the Guide
يا رَبِّ بِعيسى وَالهادي
وَبِموسىand by Moses خُذtake بِيَدِby the hand of الوَطَنِthe homeland
وَبِموسى خُذ بِيَدِ الوَطَنِ
O Lord, by Jesus and the Guide,
Oh Lord, with Jesus and the guide
And by Moses, take the homeland by the hand.
And with Moses, take the homeland's hand
كَشّافَةُthe Scouts of مِصرَEgypt وَصِبيَتُهاand her boys
كَشّافَةُ مِصرَ وَصِبيَتُها
وَمُناةُand the hope of الدارِthe homeland وَمُنيَتُهاand its wish
وَمُناةُ الدارِ وَمُنيَتُها
Egypt's Scouts and her boys,
The girl guides of Egypt and her youth
And the homeland's hope and its wish,
The house's beauty and its comfort
وَجَمالُand the beauty of الأَرضِthe land وَحليَتُهاand its adornment
وَجَمالُ الأَرضِ وَحليَتُها
وَطَلائِعُand the heralds of أَفراحِthe joys of المُدُنِthe cities
وَطَلائِعُ أَفراحِ المُدُنِ
And the land's beauty and its adornment,
The land's splendor and its adornment
And heralds of the cities' joys.
And the vanguards of cities' joys
نَبتَدِرُwe hasten toward الخَيرَgoodness وَنَستَبِقُand we compete
نَبتَدِرُ الخَيرَ وَنَستَبِقُ
ماwhat يَرضىapproves الخالِقُthe Creator وَالخُلُقُand virtue
ما يَرضى الخالِقُ وَالخُلُقُ
We hasten to goodness and compete in
We hasten to do good and excel
What the Creator and virtue approve.
What pleases the Creator and people
بِالنَفسِin the self وَخالِقِهاand its Creator نَثِقُwe trust
بِالنَفسِ وَخالِقِها نَثِقُ
وَنَزيدُand we grow وُثوقاًconfidence فيin المِحَنِtrials
وَنَزيدُ وُثوقاً في المِحَنِ
We trust in ourselves and our Creator,
We trust in the soul and its Maker
And grow more confident amid trials.
And increase, in trials, certainty
فيin السَهلِthe plain نَرِفwe flutter رَياحيناfragrant flowers
في السَهلِ نَرِف رَياحينا
وَنَجوبُand we traverse الصَخرَthe rocks شَياطيناlike devils
وَنَجوبُ الصَخرَ شَياطينا
On the plain we flutter like fragrant flowers,
In the plain we spread our winds
And traverse the rocks like devils.
And we roam the rocks, our demons
نَبنيwe build الأَبدانَthe bodies وَتَبنيناand they build us
نَبني الأَبدانَ وَتَبنينا
وَالهِمَّةُand determination فيin الجِسمِthe body المَرِنِsupple
وَالهِمَّةُ في الجِسمِ المَرِنِ
We build our bodies, and they build us,
We build bodies and are built
And determination dwells in a supple body.
The will in the supple body
وَنُخَلّيand we leave alone الخَلقَpeople وَماand whatever اِعتَقَدواthey have believed
وَنُخَلّي الخَلقَ وَما اِعتَقَدوا
وَلِوَجهِand for the sake of الخالِقِthe Creator نَجتَهِدُwe strive
وَلِوَجهِ الخالِقِ نَجتَهِدُ
And we leave people to their beliefs,
We empty the people of their beliefs
And strive for the Creator's sake.
And for the sake of the Creator we strive
نَأسواwe tend الجَرحىthe wounded أَنّىwherever وُجِدواthey are found
نَأسوا الجَرحى أَنّى وُجِدوا
وَنُداويand we heal مِنfrom جَرحِthe wound of الزَمَنِtime
وَنُداوي مِن جَرحِ الزَمَنِ
We tend the wounded wherever they are found,
We tend the wounded wherever found
And heal the wound of time.
And heal the wound of time
فيin الصِدقِtruthfulness نَشَأناwe were raised وَالكَوَمِand [unclear; probably generosity]
في الصِدقِ نَشَأنا وَالكَوَمِ
وَالعِفَّةِand chastity عَنfrom مَسِّtouching الحُرَمِsanctities
وَالعِفَّةِ عَن مَسِّ الحُرَمِ
We were raised in truthfulness and [probably generosity],
With truth we were raised and silence
And in chastity, refraining from violating what is sacred,
And chastity from violating the sacrosanct
وَرِعايَةِand care for طِفلٍa child أَوor هَرِمِan aged person
وَرِعايَةِ طِفلٍ أَو هَرِمِ
وَالذَودُand defense عَنِof الغيدِthe graceful young women الحُصُنِchaste
وَالذَودُ عَنِ الغيدِ الحُصُنِ
And in caring for a child or an aged person,
And caring for child or elder
And in defending graceful, chaste young women.
And defending the vulnerable fortress
وَنُوافيand we come to الصارِخَthe one crying for help فيin اللُجَجِthe deep waters
وَنُوافي الصارِخَ في اللُجَجِ
وَالنارِand the fire الساطِعَةِradiant الوَهَجِthe glow
وَالنارِ الساطِعَةِ الوَهَجِ
And we reach the one crying for help in the deep waters,
We aid the screaming in wildness
And in the brightly blazing fire.
And flaming fire, blazing
لاnot نَسأَلُهُwe ask him ثَمَنَthe price of المُهَجِlifeblood
لا نَسأَلُهُ ثَمَنَ المُهَجِ
وَكَفىand suffices بِالواجِبِduty itself مِنas ثَمَنِpayment
وَكَفى بِالواجِبِ مِن ثَمَنِ
We ask him no payment for our lifeblood,
We do not ask the price of sacrifice
And duty itself is payment enough.
And duty itself is price enough
ياO رَبِّLord فَكَثِّرناso increase us عَدَداin number
يا رَبِّ فَكَثِّرنا عَدَدا
وَاِبذُلand bestow لِأُبُوَّتِناupon our fathers المَدَداaid
وَاِبذُل لِأُبُوَّتِنا المَدَدا
O Lord, then increase us in number,
Oh Lord, increase us in number
And bestow aid upon our fathers.
And grant our parenthood support
هَيِّئprovide لَهُمfor them وَلَناand for us رَشَداsound guidance
هَيِّئ لَهُم وَلَنا رَشَدا
ياO رَبِّLord وَخُذand take بِيَدِby the hand of الوَطَنِthe homeland
يا رَبِّ وَخُذ بِيَدِ الوَطَنِ
Provide sound guidance for them and for us,
Prepare for them and us guidance
And, O Lord, take the homeland by the hand.
