تلك الطبيعة ُ، قِف بنا يا ساري
حتىso that أُريكَI show you بديعَwondrous صُنْعِhandiwork الباريthe Creator
حتى أُريكَ بديعَ صُنْعِ الباري
That is nature; halt with us, O night traveler,
O nature, pause for us, you who flows
So I may show you the wondrous handiwork of the Creator.
So I may show you the Maker's artful pose
الأَرضُthe earth حولكaround you والسماءُand the sky اهتزَّتstirred
الأَرضُ حولك والسماءُ اهتزَّت
لروائعat the marvels of الآياتِthe signs والآثارand the traces
لروائع الآياتِ والآثار
The earth around you and the sky have stirred
The earth around and the heavens shook
At the wondrous signs and traces,
For the wonders of signs and traces took
منfrom كلّevery ناطقةproclaiming ِ الجلالmajesty، كأَنهas though it were
من كلّ ناطقة ِ الجلال، كأَنه
أُمُّMother of الكتابthe Book علىupon لسانthe tongue of القاريthe reciter
أُمُّ الكتاب على لسان القاري
Each proclaiming majesty, as though it were
From every herald of glory, as though
The Mother of the Book upon the reciter's tongue.
