ربّO Lord إنّيindeed I ظلمتhave wronged نفسيmyself ولكنbut
ربّ إنّي ظلمت نفسي ولكن
شأنكYour way العفوpardon والرضاand favor فاعفُso pardon عنّيfrom me
شأنك العفو والرضا فاعفُ عنّي
Lord, I have wronged myself, but
My Lord, I have wronged myself, but
Your way is pardon and favor, so pardon me.
Your trait is forgiveness and acceptance, so forgive me
أنتYou ربLord العبادthe servants ربa Lord رحيمmerciful
أنت رب العباد رب رحيم
فتقبلso accept بفضلكby Your grace التوبrepentance منيfrom me
فتقبل بفضلك التوب مني
You are the Lord of all servants, a merciful Lord.
You are the Lord of all people, the Merciful Lord
So, by Your grace, accept my repentance.
So accept my repentance by Your grace
إنindeed ظنيmy expectation فيof العفوpardon ظنّan expectation جميلgood
إن ظني في العفو ظنّ جميل
ربO Lord حققmake true بالمصطفىthrough the Chosen One حسنthe goodness of ظنّيmy expectation
رب حقق بالمصطفى حسن ظنّي
Indeed, my expectation of pardon is a good one.
My expectation of forgiveness is a good expectation
Lord, through the Chosen One, make my good hope come true.
My Lord, fulfill my good expectation through the Chosen One
كمhow many تمنّىhoped عليكin You قومpeople ففازواand so they attained
كم تمنّى عليك قوم ففازوا
بالمنىwith wishes والغنىand abundance وعججand dust clouds التمنىlonging
بالمنى والغنى وعجج التمنى
How many people have placed their hopes in You and attained
How many people wished upon You and triumphed
Their wishes, abundance, and the dust clouds of longing.
With their wishes and riches, hastening their desires
ربO Lord جملbeautify بفيضwith the outpouring of فضلكYour grace حاليmy state
رب جمل بفيض فضلك حالي
وعلىand in ماwhat ترضاهYou approve of it منّىfrom me أعنّىhelp me
وعلى ما ترضاه منّى أعنّى
Lord, beautify my state with the outpouring of Your grace.
My Lord, beautify my state with Your abundant grace
And help me do what You find pleasing from me.
And help me with what You are pleased with from me
