I laid my plea before the best of humankind,

So my burden of sin fell from me before the Chosen One.

What is the Night of Decree, when the Chosen One is nobler than

The Throne and earth's expanse, as the verses and Revelation expressly declare?

For the breath of grace surpassed the breath of perfume.

So a day there equals a whole lifetime.

For in the Chosen One's garden, the merit of prayer

Is like the full moon's eminence among the radiant stars.

An ocean of grace, yet its shore lies far away,

For quenching thirst, for generosity, for kindness, for purity.

Every limb became pure after I had drunk my fill,

Until it became purer in radiance than the full moon.

And I stood with my fellow visitors, all together,

We hoped for intercession on the Day of Gathering and Resurrection.

And my heart trembled in awe of the Chosen One,

And my eye was still, yet its tears flowed.

So God sent down some of His abundant tranquility

Upon everyone, and all gained their reward.

And He endowed everyone with gifts from His blessings,

Which a downpour of rain cannot match in benefits.

And each left, through generosity's outpouring, in abundance,

In worldly life and faith, through the honor he had gained.

And each left, through generosity's outpouring, in abundance,

In worldly life and faith, through the honor he had gained.

The visitors' eye beholds the pearl-bright star's light,

And bless his family, companions, and the Helpers, all together,

And those who act by the rulings of prohibition and command.
