Sol 6.1

  1. ظنّى بعفوك عن ذنوبي أجمل

    والجود أوسع والمواهبُ أجزل

    My hope in Your pardon for my sins is the fairest,

    And Your bounty is vaster, and Your gifts more lavish.

  2. ولفيض فضلك من خزائن رحمة

    غيث هتون مرسل ومسمسل

    And the outpouring of Your grace from treasuries of mercy

    Is an unceasing rain, sent down and ever-flowing.

  3. يا رب إني مذنب ومقصر

    لكن لي المختار نعم الموثل

    O Lord, I am sinful and remiss,

    But I have the Chosen One—what an excellent refuge!

  4. ظهرى يئن بعبئها فكأنّه

    غصنٌ بتيّار الصبا يتململ

    My back groans beneath their burden, as though it were

    A bough writhing in the rush of the east wind.

  5. لكن رسول الله يشهد أنني

    دوما بجاه جنابه أتوسّل

    But God's Messenger bears witness that I

    Ever seek nearness through his exalted standing,

  6. وبأنّني من آله ولآله

    حق عليه بأنهم لن يخذلوا

    And that I am of his family; and his family have

    A claim upon him that they shall never be forsaken.

  7. حاشا رسول الله يغضى طرفه

    عنهم وأمهمُ تول فتفعل

    Never would God's Messenger turn his gaze away

    From them; nor would their mother [unclear word] do likewise.

  8. يأبى النبي دخول جنات العلا

    حتى يرى بيئت النبوة يدخل

    The Prophet refuses to enter the gardens on high

    Until he sees the household of prophethood enter,

  9. ويرى الملائكة الكرام بجمعهم

    حفّت وأنوار الصفا تتهلّل

    And sees the noble angels around their company

    Gathered, while lights of purity beam with joy.

  10. والحور والولدان تخدمهم بها

    ولهم بأعلاها المقام الأول

    And houris and youths serve them there,

    And in their highest reaches, the foremost station is theirs.

  11. صلى عليه الله ما نجم بدا

    أو اشرق البدر المنير الأكمل

    May God bless him as long as a star appears,

    Or the radiant, most perfect full moon shines.
