O Lord, I am a sinner,

وأفوز منك بلمحة

and win from You a glance

bearing care and favor?

فإذن أراني ناجيا

من هول فصلك في القضا

Then I shall see myself saved

from the terror of Your decisive judgment,

وأكون جار المصطفى

وأكون جار المصطفى

الهاشميّ المرتضى

الهاشميّ المرتضى

and become a neighbor of the Chosen One,

the Hashemite, the Favored One.

May God bless him—as long as

the full moon of the dark nights shines—

والآل والصحب الألى

والآل والصحب الألى

بعلومهم ملئوا الفضا

بعلومهم ملئوا الفضا

and his family and companions, who

filled the expanse with their knowledge.
