حمى الحسين عليه النور مسدول

وكل من زاره لاشك مقبول

وكل من زاره لاشك مقبول

Al-Husayn's sanctuary is draped in light,

The shrine of Al-Hussein, upon him be peace, is protected

And everyone who visits it is surely accepted.

And whoever visits him is no doubt accepted

نور النبوة في أرجاء ساحته

نور النبوة في أرجاء ساحته

يزهو سناه وبالأسرار مأهول

يزهو سناه وبالأسرار مأهول

The light of prophethood is throughout his courtyard;

The light of prophethood radiates in its precincts

Its radiance shines, and it is filled with mysteries.

His elegance manifest, graced with mysteries

هذا ابن فاطمة الزهراء من ولدت

هذا ابن فاطمة الزهراء من ولدت

خير البنين فهم غرّ بهاليل

خير البنين فهم غرّ بهاليل

This is the son of Fatimah al-Zahra, who bore

This is the son of Fatima Al-Zahra, from the one who begot

The finest sons; they are radiant, magnanimous men.

The best of sons, so they are stars in the dark night

هم آل بيت من الأرجاس قد طهروا

هم آل بيت من الأرجاس قد طهروا

فهم لهام العلا والمجد إكليل

فهم لهام العلا والمجد إكليل

They are the Household, who have been purified of defilement;

They are the household who are purified from all filth

So they are a crown upon the brows of eminence and glory.

They are the crown of glory and high esteem

فرض محبتهم حتم مودّتهم

فرض محبتهم حتم مودّتهم

لهم علينا وحق الحق تبجيل

لهم علينا وحق الحق تبجيل

Love for them is a duty; affection for them is obligatory.

Loving them is an absolute duty, revering them

We owe them reverence, by the right of the Truth.

An obligation, as truth and right warrant

من زار هذا الحمى كانت زيارته

من زار هذا الحمى كانت زيارته

عين السرور وفيها الخير مأمول

عين السرور وفيها الخير مأمول

Whoever visits this sanctuary—his visit is

Whoever visits this shrine, their visit

Joy itself, and goodness is hoped for in it.

Is pure joy, and goodness is hoped for

فهو الوسيلة للمختار من مضر

فهو الوسيلة للمختار من مضر

وفي مودّته الإقبال مكفول

وفي مودّته الإقبال مكفول

For he is the means of approach to the Chosen One of Mudar,

It is the means to the Chosen One from Mudar

And through love for him, good fortune is assured.

And devotion to him guarantees nearness

إن المودة في القربى موصّلة

إن المودة في القربى موصّلة

إلى النجاة كما قد جاء تنزيل

إلى النجاة كما قد جاء تنزيل

Indeed, love for near kin leads

Love for one's kin is the path

To salvation, as revelation has declared.

To salvation, as revelation dictates

هذا الحسين له في مصرنا حرم

هذا الحسين له في مصرنا حرم

لكن جلال بفيض الفضل مشمول

لكن جلال بفيض الفضل مشمول

This al-Husayn has a sanctuary in our Egypt,

This is Al-Hussein, who has a shrine in our Egypt

Yet majesty is enveloped in an outpouring of grace.

Bathed in the abundance of grace and favor

فكل من زار بالإخلاص مشهدهُ

فكل من زار بالإخلاص مشهدهُ

تمّت مقاصده وانحلّ معقول

تمّت مقاصده وانحلّ معقول

So whoever visits his shrine with sincerity—

All who visit his tomb sincerely

His aims are fulfilled, and what was bound comes undone.

Will have their aims fulfilled, their quest made easy
