رسول الله طرفى في سهاد

وشوقي نحو قبرك في ازدياد

O Messenger of God, my eye is sleepless,

And my longing for your grave is growing.

ولى بالبيت أشواق ووجد

ووطنك الشريفة في فؤادي

And I have yearnings and passion for the House,

And your noble homeland is in my heart.

وأحمال الخطايا أثقلتني

عن التسيار في خير البلاد

And the burdens of sins have weighed me down,

Keeping me from journeying through the best of lands,

لأظفر من جنابك بالعطايا

وأحظى في رحابك بالرشاد

To win gifts from your presence,

And attain right guidance within your precincts.

ففضلا منك جد لي باقتراب

وتسهيل المقاصد والسداد

So, out of your kindness, grant me nearness,

And ease in attaining my aims, and rectitude.

ومد يد المكارم نحو عبد

غريق في المعاصي والتمادي

And extend the hand of generosity toward a servant

Drowning in sins and persistence in them.

وقل يا أحمد الحملاوي متع

فؤادك بالزيارة والوداد

And say, ‘O Ahmad al-Hamlawi, delight

Your heart with visitation and affection.’

وكن لي يا حبيبي خير جاه

من الدهر المولع بالعناد

And be for me, my beloved, the best patron

Against time, so bent on defiance,

وذي القربى وأولادي وأهلى

مع الأحباب يا غوث العباد

And for my kin, my children, and my family,

Together with loved ones, O succor of God's servants.

عليك صلاة ربى كل وقت

مكررة إلى يوم المعاد

May my Lord's blessing be upon you at every moment,

Repeated until the Day of Return.
