Al-Shafi‘i's precincts are a sheltering shade,
The sanctuary of al-Shafi'i is a refreshing shade,
And his spring is sweet, smoothly flowing water.
Its spring is a gushing stream.

A place of gladness and abundant goodness.

Rise up toward the sanctuary, and seek the honored threshold,
Whose aid is borne out by proof.
For guides point the way to its blessings.

The sanctuary protects the people like an impenetrable fortress,
Far be it that any guest there should suffer wrong.
Unfailing in sheltering all visitors.
