نذرٌ عليّ إذا وصلت لطيبة

نذرٌ عليّ إذا وصلت لطيبة

ورأيت أنوار التهامى تزدهي

ورأيت أنوار التهامى تزدهي

A vow binds me: when I reach Taybah,

I vow, when I reach Tayba

And see the Tihami's lights shining,

And see the radiance of its beauty glow

لأمرّغنّ على ثراها وجنتي

لأمرّغنّ على ثراها وجنتي

وأقول هذا ما أريد وأشتهي

وأقول هذا ما أريد وأشتهي

I shall surely rub my cheek upon its soil,

To rub my cheeks upon its soil and paradise

And say, "This is what I want and desire."

And say “This is what I want and crave”

وأتيه من طرب الوصول لساحة

وأتيه من طرب الوصول لساحة

من حسن مرآها يطيب تولّهي

من حسن مرآها يطيب تولّهي

And lose myself in the rapture of reaching a courtyard,

And come to it, raptured by reaching a place

Whose lovely sight makes my ardent longing sweet.

So fair of aspect to enchant all beings

فيها ثوى المختار أشرف موسل

فيها ثوى المختار أشرف موسل

وأجل من فيه المكارم تنتهي

وأجل من فيه المكارم تنتهي

There rests the Chosen One, the noblest [messenger],

Wherein lies the Chosen One, the noblest washer

And the most exalted one, in whom noble virtues culminate.

And most perfect in whom virtues culminate

هو خير جاه أرتجيه لنصرتي

هو خير جاه أرتجيه لنصرتي

في الدين والدنيا وكل تقوهي

في الدين والدنيا وكل تقوهي

He is the best patron I hope will come to my aid,

He is the best spirit I hope will aid me

In religion and worldly life, and in all my [utterances].

In religion and world and all piety

وإليه افزع في الحوادث كلها

وإليه افزع في الحوادث كلها

وإليه في كلّ الأمور توجّهي

وإليه في كلّ الأمور توجّهي

And to him I turn for refuge in every calamity,

And unto him I flee in all misfortunes

And to him I turn in all affairs.

And unto him in all affairs I aim
