His wealth earns him praise, and brings us prosperity.
The praise is his for his wealth, and ours the riches,
Nor do we bear the afflictions that time brings.
No harm can touch us from the whims of fate.

Whenever petitioners come to him, there blaze
When suppliants come his lamps of bounty glisten,
upon him the lamps of a welcoming countenance and good cheer.
With welcome smiles that banish fear and hate.

His bounty to people of virtue is like
Among the worthy his virtue is resplendent,
water falling from rainclouds upon a barren land.
As rain that falls on deserts desolate.
