إنَّindeed احتفالshowing regard المرءa person بالمرءfor another person لاnot
إنَّ احتفال المرء بالمرء لا
أحبُّهI like it إلاexcept معwith الاكتفاcontentment with enough
أحبُّه إلا مع الاكتفا
Indeed, a person's regard for another—I do not
Celebrating oneself, I do not love
like it unless it is kept to what suffices.
Except with self-sufficiency
مبالغاتexcesses النَّاسpeople مذمومةٌblameworthy
مبالغات النَّاس مذمومةٌ
فاسلكso follow سبيلthe path القصدmoderation فيin الاحتفاshowing regard
فاسلك سبيل القصد في الاحتفا
People's excesses are blameworthy;
People's exaggerations are blameworthy
so follow the path of moderation in showing regard.
So take the path of moderation in celebration
