وعنيand on my behalf خبرwas informed الجميعُeveryone بأننيthat I
وعني خبر الجميعُ بأنني
مشوقٌlonging لأرضٍfor a land حلهاsettled in it خيرُthe best مالِكِlord
مشوقٌ لأرضٍ حلها خيرُ مالِكِ
And everyone has been told, on my behalf, that I
All shall hear how I yearn for the land
long for a land where the finest of lords has settled.
Whose lord is most excellent and grand
بهاin it جَمعَgathered اللَهGod السعادةَhappiness إذas غَدَتit became
بها جَمعَ اللَه السعادةَ إذ غَدَت
محلاًan abode لحاميfor the protector of أهلthe followers of مذهبِthe school of مالِكِMālik
محلاً لحامي أهل مذهبِ مالِكِ
There God gathered happiness, as it became
Where God has united all blessings, indeed
an abode for the protector of the followers of Mālik’s school.
