خِلافَةٌa caliphate قَدindeed سَمَتhave risen مَفاخِرُهاits glories
خِلافَةٌ قَد سَمَت مَفاخِرُها
عَنbeyond أنthat يُرىbe seen فيamong الوَرىhumankind مُفاخِرُهاits rival in glory
عَن أن يُرى في الوَرى مُفاخِرُها
A caliphate whose glories have risen so high
A caliphate whose glories have reached
that no rival to it is found among humankind.
Beyond what is seen in the world as glories
لدىamong الخلائقِcreated beings قدindeed عَلَتhas risen شَرَفاًin honor
لدى الخلائقِ قد عَلَت شَرَفاً
وفيand among الوُلاةِrulers سَمَتhave risen مآزِرُهاits girdles
وفي الوُلاةِ سَمَت مآزِرُها
Among created beings it has risen in honor,
With all creations has it risen in nobility
and among rulers its girdles have risen high.
And with rulers has its honors reached
يَروقُdelights إخبارُهاaccounts of it ومَخبَرُهاand its true nature
يَروقُ إخبارُها ومَخبَرُها
يُرضيكَpleases you باطِنُهاits inner nature وظاهِرُهاand its outward appearance
يُرضيكَ باطِنُها وظاهِرُها
Accounts of it and its true nature delight;
Its news is pleasing and informer
its inner nature and its outward appearance please you.
Its essence and facade satisfy you
لعدلِهاfor its justice وصفاءِand the purity of مَورِدهاits watering place
لعدلِها وصفاءِ مَورِدها
اللَهُGod كافِلُهاits guardian وناصِرُهاand its helper
اللَهُ كافِلُها وناصِرُها
For its justice and the purity of its watering place,
For its justice and pure springs
God is its guardian and its helper.
God is its guarantor and supporter
تَزيدُit grows عِزّاًin glory مُؤبَّداًeverlasting وبهِand through it
تَزيدُ عِزّاً مُؤبَّداً وبهِ
يَسعَدُprospers باديُّهاits nomads وحاضِرُهاand its townsfolk
يَسعَدُ باديُّها وحاضِرُها
It grows in everlasting glory, and through that glory
It grows eternally in might and by it
its nomads and its townsfolk prosper.
Its lands and inhabitants prosper
قَرَّتwere gladdened بهاby it أعينُeyes السعادةِhappiness إذwhen
قَرَّت بها أعينُ السعادةِ إذ
أحيىbrought to life المُنىhopes بَدؤُهاits beginning وآخِرُهاand its end
أحيى المُنى بَدؤُها وآخِرُها
The eyes of happiness were gladdened by it when
Eyes of fortune have settled with it when
its beginning and its end brought hopes to life.
It revived hopes, its start and end
أكرِمhow noble! بهاit (exclamatory) منas a خلافةٍcaliphate ظَهَرَتhas appeared
أكرِم بها من خلافةٍ ظَهَرَت
وقدand indeed سَمَتhave risen فيamong الوَرىhumankind مفاخِرُهاits glories
وقد سَمَت في الوَرى مفاخِرُها
How noble is this caliphate that has appeared!
Honored through it over caliphates arising
And its glories have soared among humankind.
With glories reaching in the world
