عَليّAli لَقَدindeed أَنعَمتَyou have bestowed جوداًbounty وَمِنّةًand favor
عَليّ لَقَد أَنعَمتَ جوداً وَمِنّةً
وَإِنّيَand indeed I لَمdid not أَترُكleave لِشُكركfor thanking you مَذهَباa way
وَإِنّيَ لَم أَترُك لِشُكرك مَذهَبا
Ali, you have indeed bestowed bounty and favor;
You have bestowed favor and kindness upon me
And I have left no way of thanking you untried.
And I have left no path to express my gratitude
مَلكتyou have won بإِنعامٍthrough favors عَليَّupon me ثلاثةًthree
مَلكت بإِنعامٍ عَليَّ ثلاثةً
لِسانيmy tongue وَأَعضائيand my limbs وَقَلبيand my heart المحجّباveiled
لِساني وَأَعضائي وَقَلبي المحجّبا
Through your favors to me, you have won three things:
Through your benefaction you have gained mastery over three things:
My tongue, my limbs, and my veiled heart.
