رِياض البَها رقت بِمَولد زَينَب
كَريمةnoble daughter مَنone who يَرويrecounts المَكارمthe noble deeds عَنfrom أَبa father
كَريمة مَن يَروي المَكارم عَن أَب
The gardens of splendor grew delicate with Zaynab’s birth.
The gardens of Bahā’ rejoiced at the birth of Zaynab
The noble daughter of one who recounts noble deeds from a father.
Noble is she whose noble deeds are told by her father
وَذاand this one حُسنbeauty فيin فعلهhis conduct وَخِصالهand his qualities
وَذا حُسن في فعله وَخِصاله
لَهُfor him كَرَمnobility الأَخلاقof character أَكرَمthe noblest مَنصبrank
لَهُ كَرَم الأَخلاق أَكرَم مَنصب
And he shows beauty in his conduct and qualities.
And this beauty in her acts and traits
For him, nobility of character is the noblest rank.
She has the nobility of character, the noblest rank
لِمَولِدِهاfor her birth لاحَتshone سُعودauspicious stars فَأَرخَتand so they recorded the date
لِمَولِدِها لاحَت سُعود فَأَرخَت
كَمالfullness الهَناof joy تَشريفhonoring مَولدthe birth of زَينَبZaynab
كَمال الهَنا تَشريف مَولد زَينَب
At her birth, auspicious stars shone and thus recorded the date:
For her birth, good fortune smiled and spread
Perfect joy—the honoring of Zaynab’s birth.
