أَبشر بِنَجل قَد زَها

أَبشر بِنَجل قَد زَها

في يَوم مَولده سَناه

في يَوم مَولده سَناه

Rejoice in a son—for brightly shone

Rejoice at a newborn who shone

his radiance on the day of his birth.

On the day of his birth, his year was radiant

وَبَدا بِطالع سَعده

وَبَدا بِطالع سَعده

في مَهدِهِ أَعلى عُلاه

في مَهدِهِ أَعلى عُلاه

And beneath his star of good fortune appeared

And his auspicious star rose

in his cradle the summit of his glory.

To its highest ascent in his cradle

هُوَ ماجد مِن ماجد

هُوَ ماجد مِن ماجد

مِن نسل آباء سراه

مِن نسل آباء سراه

He is noble, born of a noble father,

He is glorious, from glorious ancestors

from a line of noble forefathers.

From a noble lineage, their secret was sublime

فَاهنأ بِهِ حَسَنا وَدُم

فَاهنأ بِهِ حَسَنا وَدُم

في خَير إِسعاد وَجاه

في خَير إِسعاد وَجاه

So delight in him, fair as he is, and remain

So congratulate this beauty and spirit

in the best of good fortune and honor.

In the best of fortunes and stature

فَببشر مَولده أَتى

فَببشر مَولده أَتى

تاريخه الزاهي تَراه

تاريخه الزاهي تَراه

So with the joy of his birth there came

Rejoice, his birth has come

his radiant chronogram, which you see,

Its splendid date you see

لِكَريم جاه واصِفاً

لِكَريم جاه واصِفاً

قَد نِلت في الدُنيا نَجاه

قَد نِلت في الدُنيا نَجاه

describing a man of noble standing:

For this noble, eminent man

“You have attained salvation in this world.”

You have attained salvation in this life
