بُشرىglad tidings التَهانيcongratulations بِنجلon a son راقَwas delightful مَولدهhis birth
بُشرى التَهاني بِنجل راقَ مَولده
وَنلand grant أَبهىmost radiant الهَناhappiness وَالعزand honor وَلدهhis son
وَنل أَبهى الهَنا وَالعز وَلده
Joyful congratulations on a son whose birth was a delight.
Good tidings and congratulations for the birth of a graceful son
And grant his son the brightest happiness and honor.
Who attained the most beautiful glory and honor for his father
أَنعمhow excellent! وَأَكرمand how noble! بِهِby him مِنas a والدfather شرفتwere ennobled
أَنعم وَأَكرم بِهِ مِن والد شرفت
بِهِby him المَعاليthe heights of glory وَقَدand indeed راقَتwere splendid مَحامدهhis merits
بِهِ المَعالي وَقَد راقَت مَحامده
How fine and noble a father he is! Ennobled
He was blessed and honored with a noble father whose nobility
By him are the heights of glory, and splendid are his merits.
Was enhanced by his merits and his praises flourished
لِنَجلهfor his son بِهجةjoy العَلياlofty glory مُؤرخةdated in a chronogram
لِنَجله بِهجة العَليا مُؤرخة
عَبدservant اللَطيفthe Gentle One بِفَضلby grace عادَhas become وَلَدهhis son
عَبد اللَطيف بِفَضل عادَ وَلَده
For his son, the joy of lofty glory is marked in a chronogram:
For his son, the joy of the Most High dated
ʿAbd al-Laṭīf, by grace, is now his son.
Abdul Latif by the grace of time brought back his son
