كَيفَ التَخَلص مِن قَضاء اللَه

أَم كَيفَ يَجحَد غافل أَولاهي

أَم كَيفَ يَجحَد غافل أَولاهي

How can one escape God's decree?

How can one escape the decree of Allah

Or how can anyone heedless or distracted deny

Or how can an oblivious denier repudiate the Exalted

حُكم الإِله وَلا مرد لِحُكمه

حُكم الإِله وَلا مرد لِحُكمه

رب عَظيم جَل عَن أَشباه

رب عَظيم جَل عَن أَشباه

God's judgment, when His judgment cannot be overturned?

The rule of God, His decree is unavoidable

A mighty Lord, exalted beyond any likeness.

Great is our Lord, beyond any equal

فَقَضى وَنادي رُوح مَحفوظ التُقى

فَقَضى وَنادي رُوح مَحفوظ التُقى

فَأَحلها أَعلى المَقام الزاهي

فَأَحلها أَعلى المَقام الزاهي

So He decreed and summoned the soul of pious Mahfuz,

He decreed and called out a soul protected by piety

Then lodged it in the highest, radiant station.

And granted it the highest sublime station

وَحَباه جَنات الخُلود بِفَضله

وَحَباه جَنات الخُلود بِفَضله

وَأَناله فيها عَظيم الجاه

وَأَناله فيها عَظيم الجاه

And granted him gardens of eternity through His grace,

Endowed it with gardens of eternity by His grace

And bestowed on him great honor there.

And granted it great glory therein

فَرَآه رُضوان فقال مُؤرِخاً

فَرَآه رُضوان فقال مُؤرِخاً

مَحفوظ يَزهو في جِنان اللَه

مَحفوظ يَزهو في جِنان اللَه

Then Ridwan saw him and said, marking the date:

So He saw it in His pleasure, and said in chronicle

Mahfuz shines in the gardens of God.
