لِأَحمَد خَيري تَجَلَت سُعود

تَهني عُلاه بِخَير مَزيد

Good fortunes have shone forth for Ahmad Khayri,

For Ahmed Khayri prosperity has shone

congratulating his eminence with still greater blessings.

I congratulate his elevation with more goodness

وَأَضحى يُنادي لِسان المَعالي

وَأَضحى يُنادي لِسان المَعالي

بِتاريخِهِ وَهُوَ بَيت القَصيد

بِتاريخِهِ وَهُوَ بَيت القَصيد

And the tongue of lofty honors began proclaiming

And he has become calling out the tongue of glories

his chronogram—the very heart of the poem:

By his date, and it is the house of poetry

أَهنيك خَيري بِأَمجاد حَد

أَهنيك خَيري بِأَمجاد حَد

وَإِسعاد عَود وَعام جَديد

وَإِسعاد عَود وَعام جَديد

I congratulate you, Khayri, on glories of might,

I congratulate you Khayri with splendors limit

and a happy return and a new year.
