دار العُلوم لَها البُشرى بِطَلعَتِكُم

دار العُلوم لَها البُشرى بِطَلعَتِكُم

وَالأنس أَقبل إِذ شَرفت مَأواها

وَالأنس أَقبل إِذ شَرفت مَأواها

Dar al-Ulum has glad tidings at your arrival.

The House of Knowledge heralds your coming

And delight arrived when you graced its abode.

And intimacy arrives as its dwelling is honored

فَأَنتَ شَمس العُلا والبرح ساحتها

فَأَنتَ شَمس العُلا والبرح ساحتها

وَنُور فَضلك بِالعَلياء هَناها

وَنُور فَضلك بِالعَلياء هَناها

For you are the sun of glory, and hardship is its courtyard [wording unclear in the source].

You are the sun of ascendance and its expanse is your courtyard

And the light of your virtue has gladdened it with exalted rank.

The light of your grace illuminates its sublime inhabitants

فَكُلَنا في سُرور إِذ حَللت بِها

فَكُلَنا في سُرور إِذ حَللت بِها

وَبَهجة الفَضل فيها أَنتَ مَبناها

وَبَهجة الفَضل فيها أَنتَ مَبناها

So we all rejoice, since you have come to it.

We are all delighted as you reside here

And you are the foundation of the splendor of excellence within it.

And the grace within it, you are its architect

دامَت بِعَلياك في عز وَفي فَرَح

دامَت بِعَلياك في عز وَفي فَرَح

وَدامَ فيها العُلا ما دُمت تَرعاها

وَدامَ فيها العُلا ما دُمت تَرعاها

May it endure through your eminence, in honor and in joy.

May it persist in your glory, in honor and in joy

And may glory endure within it as long as you watch over it.

And may the ascendance within it last as long as you foster it
