وافى الهَنا وَأَتي البَشير يُبشر

وافى الهَنا وَأَتي البَشير يُبشر

وَسَمير أَنس بِالسُرور يُسامر

وَسَمير أَنس بِالسُرور يُسامر

Joy has arrived, and the herald has come bearing glad tidings.

And a congenial companion converses joyfully by night.

مُذ قد أَتي نَجل الكِرام مُحمد

مُذ قد أَتي نَجل الكِرام مُحمد

فَلوالديهِ تَلوح مِنهُ بَشائر

فَلوالديهِ تَلوح مِنهُ بَشائر

Since Muhammad, scion of the noble, has arrived,

Glad omens from him shine forth for his parents.

هُوَ خَير مَن حازَ الفَضائل أَهله

هُوَ خَير مَن حازَ الفَضائل أَهله

وَشُموس مَولده السَعيد سَوامر

وَشُموس مَولده السَعيد سَوامر

He is the best of those whose kin have attained virtues,

And the suns of his auspicious birth are companions of the night.

وَالسَعد قَد أَضحى بِقَول مُؤرِخاً

وَالسَعد قَد أَضحى بِقَول مُؤرِخاً

وَلد العَزيز مُحمد فَاِستَبشِروا

وَلد العَزيز مُحمد فَاِستَبشِروا

And good fortune now marks the date with these words:

The beloved Muhammad has been born—so rejoice!
